During this exclusive 8-day journey, you will attend the grand Opening Ceremony in Bishkek, explore the vibrant nomad camp of 150 traditional yurts in Kyrchyn Jailoo, witness epic horseback competitions, and immerse yourself in authentic Kyrgyz traditions.

Beyond the Games, you will travel through the most iconic landscapes of Kyrgyzstan — from alpine Song-Kul Lake to the dramatic red cliffs of Jety-Oguz and the ancient Silk Road monument of Burana Tower.

World Nomad Games 2026 Cultural Expedition – Exclusive Kyrgyzstan Festival & Nomadic Journey

Join the World Nomad Games 2026 Cultural Expedition — an exclusive journey to experience nomadic sports, yurt camps, alpine landscapes, and authentic Kyrgyz traditions across Kyrgyzstan.

Day 1 – Arrival in Bishkek & Opening Ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games

Description:
Arrival at Manas International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Bishkek. After check-in and a short rest, we begin a guided city tour at 10:00 AM.

During the tour, you will visit Ala-Too Central Square, the Presidential House, the White Central Mosque, Oak Park with sculptures and monuments dedicated to famous Kyrgyz figures, local open-air markets, the Opera & Ballet Theatre, Old Square, and the National Philharmonic Hall.

In the afternoon, we prepare to attend the grand Opening Ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games at Bishkek Arena. This spectacular event features traditional performances, music, and a vibrant celebration of nomadic culture from across Central Asia and beyond.

 

Day 2 – Bishkek to Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Lake | VI World Nomad Games 2026

Route: Bishkek → Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul Lake)

Description:
After breakfast, we transfer to Cholpon-Ata, located on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, where the main events of the VI World Nomad Games 2026 take place.

Upon arrival, you will begin exploring the Games according to the official schedule of competitions and cultural performances. The festival features four main venues: the Hippodrome, where traditional horse games and mounted competitions are held; the Sports Centre for indoor activities; the beach area for wrestling and various outdoor sports; and the impressive yurt village in Kyrchyn Gorge, showcasing traditional nomadic lifestyle, crafts, and cultural exhibitions.

In the evening, transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Cholpon-Ata | World Nomad Games Competitions

Description:
After breakfast, we continue attending the World Nomad Games events in Cholpon-Ata. Throughout the day, we visit various competition venues and experience traditional nomadic sports and cultural performances.

Events include several forms of wrestling such as alysh (belt wrestling), eagle hunting demonstrations, traditional bone-throwing games, and the most popular and spectacular nomadic sport — Kok-Boru (headless goat polo), a thrilling horseback competition deeply rooted in Kyrgyz heritage.

Day 4 – Kyrchyn Pasture | Ethno Nomad Village

Route: Cholpon-Ata → Kyrchyn Jailoo
Accommodation: Homestay or Yurt camp
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Description:
After breakfast, we drive approximately 30 km to Kyrchyn Pasture, where more than 300 traditional yurts are assembled to create the grand Ethno Nomad Village. This unique location hosts part of the World Nomad Games cultural program.

Guests are welcomed by young men and women dressed in traditional national costumes at the impressive entrance gate of the village. From the very first steps, you will feel the vibrant atmosphere of nomadic heritage, witnessing traditional crafts, music, customs, and cultural exhibitions.

The opening of the Nomad Village is followed by a grand folk festival featuring music, performances, and authentic Kyrgyz traditions.

Day 5 – Karakol & Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul

Route: Cholpon-Ata → Karakol → Jety-Oguz → Skazka Canyon → Ton

Description:
After breakfast, we drive toward Karakol (approx. 4–5 hours). In Karakol, we visit the Przhevalsky Museum, the unique wooden Dungan Mosque (built in 1910), and the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (19th century).

Continue to Jety-Oguz Gorge to see the famous red rock formations known as the “Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart Mountain.” On the way, stop at Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon for a 1–1.5 hour hike through surreal rock formations of multi-colored clay and minerals.

By evening, arrival in Ton on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Dinner and overnight stay in the yurt camp

Day 6 – South Issyk-Kul Lake to Song-Kul Lake

Route: Ton → Ak-Sai Canyon → Orto-Tokoi Reservoir → Kalmak Ashuu Pass → Song-Kul Lake
Accommodation: Muras Yurt Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic), Dinner

Description:
After breakfast, visit Ak-Sai Canyon for a short hike to a panoramic viewpoint. Enjoy time near the lake and a picnic lunch on the beach.

Continue the journey toward Song-Kul Lake via the Orto-Tokoi Reservoir and Kalmak Ashuu Pass. Song-Kul is a high-altitude alpine lake located at 3,060 meters above sea level and is one of the best places to experience authentic nomadic life.

Dinner and overnight stay in a  yurt camp.

Day 7 – Song-Kul Lake | Free Day & Nomadic Experience

Route: Song-Kul Lake
Accommodation:Muras Yurt Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Description:
Breakfast at the yurt camp. Today is free to enjoy the untouched alpine nature of Song-Kul Lake. You may take relaxing walks along the lakeshore or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Optional horseback riding is available to explore the surrounding pastures. In early September, the pastures are often covered with alpine flowers, including edelweiss.

Full board and overnight stay in a traditional yurt camp.

Day 8 – Song-Kul Lake to Bishkek via Burana Tower

Route: Song-Kul → Kochkor → Burana Tower → Bishkek

Description:
After breakfast, enjoy the morning scenery and optional horseback riding (1-2 hours with horse guide). Lunch at the yurt camp.

In the afternoon, transfer to Bishkek via Kochkor village. On the way, stop at the ancient Burana Tower (10th–11th century), a historical monument of the Great Silk Road.

Arrival in Bishkek, hotel check-in, and rest.
