Day 1: Bishkek – Song Kol l Lake (Horseback Riding)

Morning departure from Bishkek. Drive through the dramatic Boom Gorge and along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake before ascending to Song-Kol Lake – one of Kyrgyzstan's most stunning alpine lakes, sitting at 3,016 meters above sea level.

Upon arrival, enjoy a 2-hour horseback ride along the lake shore, taking in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges. This is the perfect way to experience the nomadic lifestyle that defines Kyrgyz culture.

Day 2: Song-Kol – Bokonbayevo (Ak-Sai Canyon & Eagle Hunting Show)

After breakfast, descend from the mountains and drive toward the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. En route, stop at the hidden gem of Ak-Sai Canyon – a striking desert-like gorge with dramatic red-and-orange rock formations carved by wind and water over centuries. Take a short walk through this surreal landscape for some unforgettable photo opportunities.

Continue to the village of Bokonbayevo, famous for its traditional eagle hunting heritage. Upon arrival, witness a live eagle hunting show – a fascinating demonstration where a trained golden eagle is released to hunt, showcasing a centuries-old tradition still practiced by Kyrgyz hunters today.

Day 3: Bokonbayevo – Skazka Canyon – Barskoon – Jeti-Oguz – Karakol

Today is a day of spectacular scenery along the south shore of Issyk-Kul.

Skazka Canyon ("Fairy Tale" Canyon) – Explore this otherworldly landscape of multicolored clay and sandstone formations sculpted into fantastical shapes by nature. Walk among the towering cliffs and enjoy panoramic views of the lake below.
Barskoon Gorge – Stop at this lush, forested gorge famous for its cascading waterfalls. Visit the "Broken Heart" Waterfall and the memorial to the first cosmonauts who once vacationed here, including Yuri Gagarin.
Jeti-Oguz Gorge ("Seven Bulls") – Arrive at this iconic red-rock canyon, named for its seven massive cliff formations resembling a herd of bulls. Take a short walk through the valley and admire the striking contrast between the red sandstone and the green pine forests. Continue to Karakol, the cultural hub of the Issyk-Kul region, for overnight.

Day 4: Karakol – Altyn Arashan Valley – Karakol (Full-Day Hike)

Early morning transfer from Karakol to Ak-Suu village – the starting point of your hike. From here, embark on a scenic 14–15 km trek uphill into the famous Altyn Arashan Valley. The trail winds through lush spruce forests, crosses crystal-clear mountain streams, and offers ever-expanding views of towering peaks.

Upon reaching the valley (elevation ~2,600 m), you'll be rewarded with breathtaking alpine scenery and the chance to soak in natural hot springs with sweeping views of Palatka Peak (5,020 m) – the highest point in the area.

After some rest and lunch, hike the same 14–15 km trail back down to Ak-Suu village, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Karakol.

Day 5: Karakol – Ak-Suu Gorge – Bishkek

After breakfast, take a short morning drive to Ak-Suu Gorge (also known as Grigorievka Gorge), one of the most beautiful gorges on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul. Walk through lush alpine meadows and dense spruce forests, following the river as it winds through the valley. The dramatic peaks and flower-filled pastures make this a perfect final taste of Kyrgyzstan's natural beauty.

After your walk, begin the long drive back to Bishkek, with a lunch stop en route. Arrive in Bishkek in the late afternoon/evening, where the tour concludes.
